Pro Tech Tips for Installation

Tip 1: Support the Drivetrain Securely. Before removing your old mounts, use a floor jack with a wood block to support the weight of the transmission. This prevents the engine and transaxle from dropping and ensures that the bolt holes remain aligned when you slide the new urethane pieces into place.

Tip 2: Use Silicone Lubricant. Urethane mounts are much stiffer than standard rubber and can sometimes be difficult to seat into the metal brackets. Apply a thin layer of silicone-based grease to the faces of the mounts. This helps them slide into position during installation and prevents any potential "squeaking" that can occur with urethane-to-metal contact.

Tip 3: Re-Verify Shifter Alignment. Because these performance mounts reduce flex and may sit slightly differently than your worn-out stock mounts, your shift linkage geometry might change.
