The EMPI 6511 Transmission Solid Mount Kit is engineered for high-performance Volkswagen applications where standard rubber mounts are prone to failure. This heavy-duty kit is designed to eliminate broken mounts and prevent the twisting or spreading of the VW mount horns under high torque loads. The kit includes front and rear formed steel retaining straps, solid steel motor frames, a steel nose mount, and all necessary heavy-duty hardware for a secure installation.

Pro Tech Tips

Account for Increased Vibration: Solid steel mounts eliminate the dampening found in stock rubber mounts. While this provides a much more stable drivetrain and prevents "wheel hop," it will significantly increase the amount of engine and transmission noise and vibration transferred into the chassis. This setup is recommended for performance and off-road use rather than daily commuting comfort.
