Strip the Storage Paint: The black coating found on this header is a temporary "storage paint" used to prevent rust during shipping and shelving. It is not a high-temperature finish and will smoke and peel once the exhaust gets hot. For the best results, sand or strip this coating off and apply a dedicated high-heat header paint or have the unit ceramic coated before installation.

Confirm Your Configuration: This product is the header portion ONLY. It does not include the muffler or exhaust tips. If you are looking for the complete system that includes the dual glass pack muffler and chrome tips, you should order part number 00-3602-0. Always ensure you have the correct J-tubes or heater boxes to mate with the 1 1/2-inch flange.

Check Apron Clearance: Because the "Tuck Away" design is intended to hide the exhaust components behind the rear bodywork, tolerances can be tight. Before final tightening of the header nuts, test fit your muffler to ensure the entire assembly clears the rear apron and does not vibrate against the body, which can cause heat transfer or paint damage.
