Prep for Longevity: The black coating on this exhaust is intended for rust prevention during storage and shipping only. It will burn off quickly once the engine reaches operating temperature. For a lasting finish, we strongly recommend stripping the storage paint and applying a high-quality, high-temperature header paint or ceramic coating before installation.

Ensure a Leak-Free Seal: Always use new exhaust gaskets and copper-plated nuts during installation. Before tightening everything down, "dry fit" the system to ensure the flanges line up perfectly with your heater boxes or small-flange headers. Applying a small amount of high-temp anti-seize to the studs will make future maintenance much easier.

Flex Hose Routing: This kit includes aluminum flex hoses to maintain your fresh air heating system. When installing, ensure the hoses are expanded carefully to avoid tearing and routed away from the fan belt and sharp engine tin edges to prevent damage and ensure consistent airflow to your cabin.
