1. Precision Squaring is Key to Smooth Operation

When installing these mounts on your floor or chassis, it is absolutely critical that the left and right rails are perfectly parallel and level with one another. Even a 1/8-inch deviation can cause the slider mechanism to bind or feel "notchy" when you try to move the seat. We recommend tack-welding or loosely bolting the mounts first, then testing the slide function through its full range of motion before final torqueing or finish welding. This ensures the dual-locking teeth engage simultaneously for maximum safety.

2. Upgrade to Grade 8 Hardware

Your seats are one of the most important safety components in your vehicle. While this kit includes the necessary components to join the sliders to the mounts, we always recommend using high-quality Grade 8 bolts, washers, and nyloc nuts for securing the mounts to your vehicle''s chassis or floor pan. 3. Account for Helmet Clearance

A 6-inch raise is a significant jump in seating height. Before finalizing your installation, sit in the seat while wearing your off-road helmet to check for overhead clearance against your roll cage or roof line. While the increased visibility over the dash is a massive benefit for shorter drivers or vehicles with tall hoods, you want to ensure you still have at least 2 to 3 inches of "headroom" to the nearest roll bar to prevent injury during chassis flex or vertical compression. If you find yourself too high, you may need to look at the 3-inch version of this kit, though the 6-inch is the standard for most "Tall Dash" buggies.
