Note: These seals are intended for standard fixed quarter windows and are not compatible with pop-out window assemblies.

Pro Tech Tips

Tip 1: Use Proper Lubrication. To make the installation smoother and prevent the rubber from binding against the metal body, apply a generous amount of soapy water or a silicone-based window lubricant to the seal and the window flange before fitting the glass.

Tip 2: The Rope-In Method. Use a thin, strong nylon cord (about 1/4 inch thick) tucked into the outer groove of the seal. With a helper pushing the window firmly from the outside, slowly pull the cord from the inside of the vehicle to "flip" the rubber lip over the metal body flange for a secure seat.

Tip 3: Prep the Window Channel. Before installing your new Cal-Look seals, ensure the window channel on the body is completely free of old rubber debris and rust. Cleaning the channel and applying a thin coat of wax or rust inhibitor can help prevent future corrosion and ensure a watertight seal.
