1. Proper Surface Preparation for Superior Welds

Before you strike an arc on these tabs, it is imperative to remove any mill scale or protective oil coating from the weld zone. Even though these are high-quality mild steel, a quick pass with a flap disc or a dedicated cleaning solvent will ensure that you do not introduce contaminants into your weld puddle. 2. Heat Management and Warpage Prevention
