This kit is compatible with the following models:

• 1968-1978 VW Beetle Sedan
• 1968-1970 VW Beetle Convertible

Please note: This kit includes the main trunk carpet but does not include a separate spare tire cover.

Tip 1: Clean and Prep the Metal. Before beginning your installation, ensure the trunk floor is completely free of old glue, debris, or loose rust. A clean surface is essential for the carpet to lay flat and for any adhesive to bond correctly.

Tip 2: Use High-Quality Spray Adhesive. For a professional, long-lasting fit, use a high-strength automotive trim adhesive. Apply the spray to both the underside of the carpet and the trunk floor. Wait for the adhesive to become tacky (usually 1 to 2 minutes) before pressing the carpet into position to prevent sliding.

Tip 3: Work from the Center Outward. When laying the carpet, start by aligning it in the center of the trunk floor and work your way toward the edges. This technique allows you to smooth out air bubbles and ensure the material conforms properly to the curves and contours of the spare tire well without wrinkling.
