Pro Tech Tips

Upgrade Your Hardware: Because the included hardware is not stainless steel, we highly recommend purchasing a separate set of stainless steel mounting bolts and washers. This prevents "rust weeping" where the hardware meets the bumper, keeping your front end looking clean for years to come.

Anti-Seize is Essential: When installing stainless steel bolts into the bumper or chassis, always use a small amount of anti-seize lubricant on the threads. Stainless steel has a tendency to "gall" or cold-weld itself together, and anti-seize ensures you can remove or adjust the bumper in the future without snapping a bolt.

Verify Nose Cone Clearance: Before fully tightening the mounting brackets, check the gap between the bumper tubing and your fiberglass nose cone. Ensure there is at least a 1/2-inch clearance to allow for body flex and vibration during off-road driving, which prevents the metal from cracking or spider-webbing your gel coat.
