1. Always Use High-Moly Content Grease

The 934 CV joint operates at much higher angles than a standard Beetle or Bus joint, which generates significantly more internal heat. When installing these new balls, you must use a high-quality grease with at least 3% to 5% Molybdenum Disulfide (Moly). This additive creates a sacrificial chemical layer on the surface of the balls and races, preventing metal-to-metal contact even if the base oil in the grease begins to break down due to extreme temperatures. Never reuse old grease when installing new balls, as microscopic metal contaminants can act like grinding paste, quickly ruining your new components.

2. Inspect the Cage and Race for "Grooving"

3. Proper Clocking and Phasing
