Check Port Alignment: Before final assembly, place the gasket on the cylinder head intake studs and then mock up the manifold. Use a small mirror or your finger to feel if the gasket or manifold creates a "lip" inside the port. Even a small obstruction can cause air turbulence, which reduces the effectiveness of your Stage 2 porting.

Avoid Excessive Sealant: While some builders prefer a dry fit, if you choose to use a sealant, apply only a very thin film of high-temperature RTV or Gasgacinch.
