1. Structural Bracing is Non-Negotiable

Before you ever spark up the plasma cutter or grinder to remove your old, rusted heater channel, you MUST brace the body. Because the heater channel is the primary bridge between the front and rear of the car, removing it without internal bracing will cause the body to fold or "taco" in the middle. We recommend welding temporary 1-inch square tubing in a "cross" or "X" pattern across the door opening, connecting the A-pillar to the B-pillar and the floor to the pillars. 2. Internal Corrosion Protection
