2. Measure Your Fender Clearance

At 6.5 inches wide, these wheels are wider than the factory 4-inch or 4.5-inch steel wheels. While they look incredible, you must check your fender-to-tire clearance, especially if your Volkswagen is lowered or equipped with a narrowed front beam. With a 4-1/8 inch backspacing, these wheels fill out the wheel well significantly. If you are running a 2-inch or 4-inch narrowed beam, these are the perfect choice to bring the tires back out to the edge of the fender for that flush look.
