We recommend hand-torquing these wheels to 80-90 lb-ft and re-checking them after the first 50 miles of driving.

2. Verify Fender Clearance with 6-Inch Widths

While a 6-inch wheel is a fantastic upgrade, it is wider than the standard 4-inch or 4.5-inch wheels found on stock Beetles. If your car is significantly lowered or if you are using a stock-width front beam, you need to be mindful of tire-to-fender contact during sharp turns. To achieve the best look and functionality, many builders pair these 6-inch wheels with a slightly narrowed front beam (2 to 4 inches) to keep the tires tucked neatly inside the fenders. Before mounting your tires, do a dry fit of the wheel on the hub to check the clearance between the inner rim lip and your tie rod ends, especially if you are running dropped spindles.

3. Maintain That Mirror Finish

These wheels are fully polished raw alloy, which means they do not have a clear coat.
