Always run a dedicated ground wire from the gauge directly to the engine block or a solid chassis ground point. If your sender is mounted to a relocation block, ensure that block is also properly grounded. A poor ground can cause the needle to jump or provide "lazy" readings, which could lead you to believe your oil pressure is lower or higher than it actually is. 2. Use an Oil Pressure Sender Relocation Kit

While the 1/8 inch NPT sender included with the ATM5437 is high-quality, mounting it directly into the VW engine case near the distributor can be a tight squeeze, especially if you have a high-performance upright fan shroud or dual carburetors. 3. Plan Your Dash Layout for the 2-5/8 Size
