1. Optimize Your Line of Sight

Before tightening the mount permanently, sit in your driver''s seat and have a helper slide the mount up and down the windshield frame. Dune buggies often have unique seating angles and low-profile seats, so the "standard" mounting height for a Beetle or Bus won''t apply here. Ensure the mirror clears your peripheral vision while still providing a clear view past the rear fenders, which are often wider than the body tub itself.

2. Prevent Vibration and Loosening

Air-cooled VW engines and off-road terrain are notorious for creating high-frequency vibrations that can loosen hardware over time. When installing your 10mm mirror stem into the mount, we highly recommend using a drop of medium-strength blue thread locker. This ensures your mirror stays exactly where you aimed it, even when you are airing down for the dunes or hitting washboard roads.
