1. Proper Grease Packing Technique

Don''t just squeeze the grease packet into the boot and hope for the best. To ensure the longevity of your 930 CV joint, you must "work" the grease into the ball bearings and the cage. Before installation, put a glob of grease in the palm of your hand and press the joint into it until the grease is forced up through the center and around the balls. A properly packed joint should have grease in every internal crevice to prevent metal-on-metal contact during the initial break-in period. 2. Check for Binding at Full Droop

The primary advantage of a 930 CV joint is its ability to operate at steeper angles than a standard VW joint, but it still has limits.
