Tip 1: Verify Your Flywheel Size Before Installation

One of the most common mistakes in early VW repair is assuming a 1966 Beetle uses a 200mm clutch. 1966 was a transition year; while many 1300cc engines moved to 200mm, many still retained the 180mm setup. Always measure the friction surface of your flywheel before ordering. If your flywheel measures roughly 7 inches across, you need this 180mm disc.
