Match the Washer to the Rim: This kit includes two different rubber washers to accommodate various wheel hole diameters. Before installation, test-fit both washers into the rim hole. You want the washer that fits most snugly into the recess to prevent air migration around the bulkhead base.

Don't Over-Tighten the Nut: Because this is a bolt-in style stem, it is easy to apply too much torque. Over-tightening can crush or distort the rubber seal, leading to slow leaks. Tighten the nut until the rubber washer begins to expand slightly, then give it one final quarter-turn to lock it in place.

Check Brake Component Clearance: On lowered Volkswagens or those equipped with aftermarket disc brake conversions, clearances can be tight.
