Tip 1: Address the Bumper Guard Holes. When switching from stock bumpers to T-bars, the large factory bumper bracket holes in the fenders will be exposed. To achieve a professional finish, many enthusiasts use smaller aftermarket grommets or custom plugs to seal the gap around the T-bar neck and prevent debris from entering the fender well.

Tip 2: Use Anti-Seize on Mounting Bolts. Since these T-bars bolt into the factory captive nuts inside the body or bumper bracket mounts, the hardware is often exposed to moisture. Applying a small amount of anti-seize to your mounting bolts during installation will prevent the hardware from seizing, making future removals or adjustments much easier.
