Eliminate Off-Idle Hesitation: The .55 idle jet is a popular choice for 1600cc to 1914cc engines. If your engine experiences a "flat spot" or stumble when you transition from a stop to light acceleration, it often indicates a lean condition. Moving to a .55 jet can provide the necessary fuel to smooth out that transition before the main circuit takes over.

Protect the Orifice: Never use a metal wire, needle, or welding tip cleaner to clear a clogged idle jet. The brass material is very soft, and even a microscopic scratch can change the flow characteristics of the jet. Always use pressurized carburetor cleaner and compressed air to remove debris or fuel varnish.
